Ok the sun is shining brightly, the birds are singing and the bees are buzzing...Time to get going and enoy the outdoors...I just may get some new inspiration for this new year...

Connecting with my inner creativity

The weekend is fast approaching and thanks to the contributions of the late great Dr. M. L. King, Jr. many will enjoy an extended weekend...I plan to spend my weekend bonding with my daughter and stimulating my inner creativity by designing a unique line that's totally out of the box, unique and anything but status quo...Wish me success...

Creativity is the Spice of Life

They say that creativity is the spice of life and necessity is the mother of invention...thinking back that rings so true.  In our age of ever evolving technology sometimes we lose sight of our creative energy.  I enjoy gardening from planting the seeds, to fertilizing, trimming even decorating the planters. And yes I name and talk to my plants, it's relaxing and rewarding as well as eco friendly.  I like to dabble in exotic plants and enjoy learning about the various growth environments.  One project I'm looking forward to is building plant stands for my exterior plants this spring/summer...been doing some research and looking at designs to determine what materials I may have that can be used in this venture...

Repurposing and repositioning

Years ago we replaced the heels on shoes instead of buying a new pair and those shoes were handed down to our siblings (minus the red bottoms)...Repairing, repurposing and repositioning requirse thought, creativity and persistence...I enjoy repurposing furniture as well as jewelry, taking the old and making something new and fashionable...We also must not forget that sometimes we must repair, repurpose and reposition ourselves in order to live a full life...My recommendation for the day is to find time to do something you enjoy and just do it...
